Reward the holders, not the wash traders.
HODLComp lets any Cardano project run a holding competition that attracts holders, drives volume, and builds trust — with new Snek.fun launches as our main early focus. Wallets are ranked by the net tokens they buy and keep, so round-trip trading earns nothing and real conviction wins.
Three simple steps
Set up the contest
A project enters its token's policy ID, picks a duration, and funds a prize pool. Creating a competition is free in this early version.
Holders buy & hold
When a wallet buys the token during the window, tracking starts. Score = net tokens accumulated and still held. Selling lowers it.
Top holders get paid
When the timer ends, the top wallets that held through win their share of the pool — paid out transparently on-chain.

Summary
In this early version, prize payouts are sent directly to winners' wallets at the end of the competition, with the transactions shown publicly. Smart-contract escrow comes once the core is proven.
Scoring you can trust.
HODLComp rewards conviction. Your rank comes from how many tokens you buy and keep — nothing else.
When tracking starts
Tracking begins on your first buy of the token during the competition window. That first balance is your baseline, and you're scored only on what you accumulate above it — so people who already held the token get no free head start.
Why wash trading can't win
The score only counts tokens you still hold. Buying and then selling nets to zero, so round-trip trading can never climb the board — it just costs fees. The only way up is to genuinely hold more.
Where the numbers come from
Every balance and rank is read directly from the Cardano blockchain through an indexer and calculated on our server. Nothing is self-reported, and the project running the competition can't edit it.
Which buys count
Only tokens bought on a supported decentralized exchange (DEX) count toward your score. Tokens sent to you from another wallet, airdrops, or borrowed tokens do not count — only real DEX buys do. Aggregators route trades through the underlying DEXes, so a buy made through an aggregator is counted whenever the DEX it settles on is one we support.
Three wallets, same competition
| Wallet | What they did | Net held | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Diamond hand | Bought 1.0M, held to the end | +1.0M | Top of board |
| Trimmer | Bought 1.0M, sold 600K | +400K | Ranked lower |
| Wash trader | Bought & sold repeatedly | 0 | Never climbs |
Honest status & safety
- ✓Connecting a wallet is read-only — it lets us see your public balance to rank you. It can't move your funds.
- ✓We never ask for or hold your private keys or seed phrase.
- ✓Scores are computed from the chain on our server — never from anything your browser claims.
- ✕This is an early version. Payouts are currently sent manually to winners with public transactions; audited smart-contract escrow is the next milestone. Don't treat anything here as financial advice.
Terms & disclaimers
Please read this before using HODLComp. By using this site you acknowledge everything below.
We never hold or control your funds
HODLComp does not take custody of, escrow, pool, or control anyone's money or tokens. Connecting a wallet is read-only — it lets the site see your public balance to rank you. It cannot move, spend, or access your funds, and we never ask for your private keys or seed phrase. Never share your seed phrase with anyone, including us.
How prizes actually work (no smart contract yet)
In this version there is no escrow smart contract. Prize funds stay in the wallet of whoever is funding the competition. When a competition ends, prizes are sent directly and manually from the funder to the winners, and the payment transactions are posted publicly. This means payouts depend on the funder following through. Only participate in competitions you're comfortable with on that basis. We are not responsible for, and cannot guarantee, any prize payment.
The $HODL token & investment risk
HODLComp has an associated meme coin, $HODL, which has no utility and grants holders no rights, rewards, or claim on the platform or its revenue. Neither $HODL nor participating in a competition is a securities offering, a managed investment, or a promise of profit. Do not expect any financial return. Meme-coin prices are extremely volatile and you can lose everything you put in, entirely independently of HODLComp. See the $HODL page for details.
Not financial, legal, or tax advice
Nothing here is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. You are solely responsible for your own decisions, your own tax obligations, and complying with the laws of your jurisdiction. If you're unsure, consult a qualified professional. Some activities may be restricted where you live — that's on you to check.
Scoring is best-effort and on-chain
Rankings are computed from public blockchain data and credit only tokens bought on a recognized decentralized exchange; tokens received by transfer do not count. We work to make this accurate, but blockchain data, third-party data providers, and our software can contain errors, delays, or downtime. Rankings and results are provided "as is," may change, and may contain mistakes. We are not liable for losses arising from reliance on them.
Experimental software, provided "as is"
This is experimental software offered without warranties of any kind. It may have bugs, go offline, or change at any time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HODLComp and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising from use of this site, participation in any competition, or any prize payment or non-payment.
You must be allowed to use this
By using HODLComp you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction and that participating in skill-based holding competitions is permitted where you live.
Track your competitions & ROI
Connect a wallet (read-only) to see the competitions you're entered in, your live standing, and your estimated return.
Connect to see your dashboard
Connecting is read-only — HODLComp can see your public balances to rank you, but can never move your funds. Never share your seed phrase.
Past competitions
Every finished competition and whether the project paid its winners. Payout status is tracked from on-chain transactions — not self-reported. This is the public record that keeps projects honest.
Meet $HODL
A community meme coin fronted by HODL the Tortle, the mascot of HODLComp. No utility, no promises — just a steady community that believes slow and steady wins the race.
What $HODL is
$HODL is purely a community token. It has no utility, pays nothing, and there's no staking. Its job is to give the HODLComp community a rallying point and a bit of fun while spreading the word about the platform.
The community hosts competitions
Here's the heart of it: the $HODL community regularly hosts its own HODLComp competitions. Running these keeps the platform active, shows new projects how it works, and helps the community grow together. It's the token's culture in action — holders who care about the ecosystem, putting HODLComp to use.
No utility, no staking, no payouts
To be crystal clear: holding $HODL does not entitle you to anything. There is no staking, no yield, no payouts, and no rewards schedule. It is a meme and a community, not an investment. Treat it as one.
Be careful
Meme coins are highly volatile and you can lose everything you put in. Only ever spend what you can afford to lose, verify the official policy ID through our verified channels before buying, and ignore anyone promising returns — those are scams.
HODL the Tortle
In a world that moves at lightning speed, where fortunes appear and vanish overnight, one humble voice rises above the noise: "Slow and steady… is the only way that lasts."
This Tortle wasn't born from hype or rushed into existence during a bull run. HODL was shaped by hard lessons and years of navigating crypto — watching brilliant projects rise only to fall because they moved too fast and built too thin. Communities got rugged. Trust was shattered by scams. Good people lost everything chasing the next shiny utility token, memecoin, or NFT.
Through it all, one truth became clear: the projects that endure aren't the loudest or the fastest. They're the ones that move with patience and purpose. But even after all the disappointment, something changed everything.
When $SNEK launched, it was different. No overnight hype machine. A true fair launch. Organic community growth. The team didn't just talk — they delivered, and they're still delivering today. In a sea of broken promises, SNEK proved that memecoins could build real culture, real loyalty, and real staying power. SNEK pulled its holders out of the trenches. It restored clarity. It gave back something that had been lost: hope.
That experience didn't create a competitor. It created inspiration. HODL and HODLComp exist because of what SNEK showed is possible on Cardano. SNEK will always wear the crown. HODL's only goal is to add another steady, trustworthy voice to the ecosystem — helping the broader Cardano community the same way SNEK helped so many weary travelers find their way again.
HODL doesn't promise overnight riches or viral pumps. He promises something rarer: a project built with integrity, patience, and the genuine desire to give others the same hope that SNEK gave everybody. In a space full of speed and spectacle, sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is keep moving forward — slowly, steadily, and with heart.
This is more than a token. This is a reminder that crypto can still feel good. That communities can still be protected. That building something real alongside giants is still possible.
Welcome to the slow lane. Welcome to HODL the Tortle. Slow and steady wins the race.
